California Wave and Los Angeles Jr. Kings form an alliance for upcoming 2009-2010 season.

Artesia, CA -- Sunday, May 10, 2009 -- In a cooperative effort to provide the highest level of instruction, development and competition, the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and California Wave have formed an alliance for the 2009 -2010 season.  This alliance will consolidate both the LA Jr. Kings and California Wave Midget Major programs into a single entity bearing the Los Angeles Jr. King’s name.

With the introduction of this corroborative effort the Jr. Kings Wave Alliance will continue to expose its players to elite competition, showcase their skills in front of scouts as well as assist in their advancement of their players to the next level.  The Midget Majors under the direction of Head Coach Jack Bowkus and Assistant Coach Michael Lewis will continue to compete in the Tier I Elite League against the top teams in the country.

In addition to the alliance at the Midget Major level, the California Wave and LA Jr. Kings will also include an alliance at the Bantam Tier level.  The California Wave Bantam AA 1996 Team, under the direction of head coach Michael Lewis will be the second team within this alliance in preparation to advance to the Bantam Tier I level the following season. As USA Hockey is in the midst of several prominent changes, the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and California Wave will continue to work together to provide our players with the highest development possible.
